Road Mechanic with CDL

POSITION DESCRIPTION 
* Responsible for repairs and required preventive maintenance of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, trucks and/or other heavy equipment
* Interpret work orders and technical manuals
* Repair or replace defective parts, components or systems
* Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure the work meets manufacturer's specifications and legislated regulations
* Regular attendance is required
* Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose and perform maintenance on equipment required by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), company and any other Federal, State or Local regulations

POSITION REQUIREMENTS 
* Must have a CDL Class B or higher
* Must have acceptable MVR
* Must have 3-5 years experience in diesel engines and hydraulic systems
* Must be willing to travel
* Must have own tools
* Physical activities include: walking, lifting, twisting, turning, climbing, Etc.
* Must work in a neat, orderly and safe manner
* Should have specific knowledge of heavy truck repairs in a commercial environment, including diesel engine systems diagnostics to ensure equipment is operating appropriately
